Adoption Procedure

Adoption applications can be  found via the link below. If you have a particular pet you are applying for, please mention in the spot allowed. If you are on the hunt but haven’t found the right one for you, please still fill out an application anyway and place N/A in that spot. We work with organizations all over the state and would be happy to save the life of a pet that matches your needs. 

Should your application be selected for a pet in need, we will call you for a brief phone interview and to answer any questions.  Next, we will set up a meet and greet. We require a home visit or virtual yard check to ensure the safety of your area for each pet. We do allow for out of state adoptions under some circumstances and will do a virtual yard check before your visit. We do require every out of state adopter make the drive to the location the dog is being fostered, or to the owners location in Lincoln (this is at the foster parents discretion. Please plan to drive to Lincoln). We will NOT ship any animal. We do give local residents priority if we have multiple fitting applications on one pet. 

All of Brunos Foundation animals will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption, vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed. 

Because we are a foster based rescue, all of our dogs are in individual foster homes. We do not have a central location that the dogs are kept, and an Application must be submitted prior to scheduling a meet with a dog. This is a safety measure for our foster parents, and also helps us predetermine if a home is a good match for the dog you are interested in. An exception to this would be if we have a scheduled event. Follow our social media pages for more up to date information on scheduled events
